Expand Front Beach

Located at the end of the main street, Front Beach is a popular spot for holiday-makers to stop, grab a bit to eat and relax at one of the many picnic tables within the Park.
Expand  Gray's Bay

Grays Bay is one of the most picturesque Bays in Queensland. The azure water, white sand and the colourful boats that frequent the bay make the area picture perfect.
Expand Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay is probably Bowen's best known and recognised beach. The beach is protected by two granite outcrops that provide a haven for many fish species and the area is ideal for snorkelling.
Expand Kings Beach

With views over Gloucester, Middle and Stone Islands, Kings Beach is a beach of constrasts. Granite boulders contrasted against the mangroves of Magazine Creek offer a rare glimpse of a delicate eco-system.
Expand Murray Bay

Murray Bay is positioned between Horseshoe Bay and Rose Bay. The bay is protected from most winds and is one of the more secluded bays and beaches in Bowen.
Expand Queens Beach

Queens Beach is a great beach to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the morning or afternoon, and during the turtle-nesting season you may just be lucky enough to witness a nesting turtle.
Expand Rose Bay

Rose Bay is a beautiful little bay with an unbeatable aspect. It has views that reach across the Whitsunday waterways and embrace the Whitsunday jewels of Gloucester and Middle Island.

Mother Beddock Walking Track

Mother BeddockWould you like to see three of Bowen's great beaches as well as visit one of the most spectacular look-outs in North Queensland?

The walking track from Horseshoe Bay to Rose Bay takes approximately one hour to complete.

Starting near the Horseshoe Bay Resort, the track winds up the boulder strewn headland before returning down to the ocean at picturesque Murray Bay, Bowen's secluded beach.

After a short walk across the sand, the trail snakes uphill again, this time up to the ageless landmark, Mother Beddock. The view from here is nothing less than spectacular.

The final part of the track leads down to peaceful but beautiful Rose Bay.
