Beaches
Horseshoe Bay

The much photographed Horseshoe Bay features a white sandy beach and azure waters, surrounded by large granite outcrops. These rock formations provide a haven for many fish species and snorkelling in this area is excellent.

The popular swimming spot is patrolled by the local Surf Life Saving Club during summer and it has a paved parking area and cafe/licensed restaurant. An abundance of wild-life frequents the area.

A mural on the ablution block, painted by Bowen State School students, depicts the turtles that use the beach for nesting.
